DULWICH BY-ELECTION LONDON, Jane 9. The Dulwich by-election, owing to tin* death of Lieut.-Colonel Sir Frederick Hall, resulted as follows: — Br.'H-ewell-Smi'th (C.) .. 12,342 Cooke-Tnylor (Lib.) .. -• Mrs Beatwich (Lab.) .. .- Polling at the by-election was much smaller than at the general election last year, when Sir Frederick Hall had ft majority of 17,000 over two opponents, "the'voting on that occasion resulting as follows: — Sir F. Hull (Con.) .. -- 21,752 F. Hughes (Lab.) •• •• 4,/o7 ('. R. Cooke-Tnylor (Lib.) .. 0,024 Dr. Cooke-Tnylor, who practised as a solicitor before becoming a medical practitioner, has now made seven attempts to capture, the Duhvich seat, and had previously stood for Holborn.
