There can be no advantage which is not mutual.” “While the coining Imperial Conference may not produce miracles, it will constitute an epoch iu history. The Canadian Manufacturers’ Association is doing everything in its power to contribute to tho success of the conference,” said the president, Mr. W. O. Coulter, indicating the attitude of tho association to the meeting of statesmen at Ottawa in July. Referring to tho diversity of interests at tho conference, Mr Coulter stated that he did not share the fear (hat Canada’s natural and proper desire to promote and safeguard her own productive departments might limit the accomplishments fbf tho conference. “Wo do not share these misgivings, because it is now generally .accepted that each British country will promote its own development so far ns that course is economic and practical,” he said.
