The post-graduate or travelling scholarship in law litis been awarded by the University of Ntnv Zealand to Mr. R. G. McElroy, of the Auckland University College. Mr. McElroy proposes to leave in a. few months for England to pursue his studies in the law of contract and he will endeavor to spend two years at Cambridge. The post-graduate scholarship is* offered every two years by the University of New Zealand to the student in any of the four affiliated colleges who can show the best scholastic record throughout his whole course. The scholarship lias been available for law students since 1925, and, of the four scholarships awarded, one was gained by a student from Victoria College, Wellington, while the remaining three have gone to Auckland.
