COLD-BLOODED CRIME
ELDERLY MAN MURDERED HOBART, April 5. A cold-blooded murder was perpetrated in Harrington street. Hobart, the victim being Charles Whelan, 65, a watersider, living alone, who was siiot dead by two-men who, later, were seen running away from the scene. A neighbor heard the men demanding monov in the vilest language, also Whelan’s” protests, and then the shot and a curse.
The neighbor followed the men for some distance and then returned and found Whelan dead.
