OMAR’S RUBAIYAT OLDEST IN EXISTENCE (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received April 6, 11 a.m.) CALCUTTA, April 5. A valuable manuscript copy of the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam, which is claimed to be the oldest Rubaiyat manuscript in existence, lias been found in the possession of an Indian family at Lucknow, where it has lain unnoticed for generations. It was copied in 1423. Tho manuscript is 37 years’ older than the world famous Ousley Rubaiyat manuscript in the Bodleian Library at Oxford, which for it century was acknowledged to be the oldest in existence.
