EARL SELLS ESTATE
MYSTERY PURCHASER OP 2360 ACRES LONDON, Feb. 5. The most important Scottish estate transaction which lias taken place since Bon Lomond and adjoining properties of the Duke of Montrose were disposed of about 18 months ago was announced last night, the Earl of Moray having sold his famous Kinfauns Castle estate in Perthshire. The estates comprise 2360 acres, a considerable portion of which is woodland. The estates include nine farms, and the River Tav runs through the lands. The price paid for the property has not been disclosed, but a year ago, when the estates were first placed on the market, a figure exceeding £IOO,OOO was Suggested. The name of the purchaser has nor 'been divulged. The earl has disposed of the estates to pay death duties.
