EKETAHUNA TRAGEDY

VICTIMS BOTH WELL KNOWN (Per Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., this day. Both 'the victims of the Eketaliuna tragfedy were members of families well known in the Eketaliuna district, where Mr Corrigan was engaged in sheep farming. The tragedy occurred at about 2.30 o’clock'this morning, when members of thp family heard two shots fired. On investigation they found their parents in bed, wounded. The ’police, doctors, anil neighbors were summoned, but on arrival a constable found both dead. Subsequently the police detained John Corrigan, 23, a son of the victims. The police also took posssesion of a double-barrel shotgun and cartridges.
