(Last Night’s Forecast) The anticyclone is now moving towards New Zealand. The pressure is falling over Tasmania. Winds: Southerly, strong at first in the northern portion of the North Island and in the far south, but decreasing and otherwise light to moderate later, winds veering to north-westerly in and south of Cook Strait. Seas (N.Z. waters): Rough, but decreasing on the west coast or the South Island mid about bureaux Strait; elsewhere moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea; Light to moderate southwesterly winds, later, veering to westerly in the southern portion. Seas: moderate. Weather; Mainly fair to cloudy, but isolated showers at first in the far north and south and on the east coast of the North Island; cool to-night, hut temperatures becoming wanner to-mor-row, when fine weather may be expected over practically the whole of the Dominion. (To-day’s North Island Report.) Overcast conditions were reported nt Gisborne ami Napier ttiis morning but blue skies prevailed elsewhere in the North Island.
