Considerable favorable press comment has arisen over the “Goodwill” ship. The Montreal Star says : “It is possible to visualise the future in which this goodwill ship will be followed by many others carrying Empire products to Empire markets over all the seven seas. It is expected that Canada will be in a position to negotiate reciprocally in beneficial trade treaties with New Zealand and South Africa,” The Vancouver Morning Star sa t vs : “lew incidents in the relationship between Canada and Australia have received so much publicity as the voyage o! tlie goodwill ship. Australia Week should be an annual event in Canada.” The Montreal Gazette comments:
“Inter-Imperial trade cannot but receive a powerful impetus from such an exchange of goods on a goodwill biisis.” The plans of the British Columbia division of the Canadian Manufacturers’ Association to send a delegation of business men to New Zealand and Fiji have been deferred penning the New Zealand election.
