It was hoped that next week the association would,be able to provide um-.-mires for all junior games, as well as for the senior fixtures- ’ : fSt-ff/.V.': • j| PLAY ON THE COAST TUPAROA V. TE ARAROA pi ’ ' (Herald Correspondent.) An interesting match was played between the Tuparoa and Te Araroa cricket teams at Te Araroa, under favorable weather conditions, apd resulted in a victory for t.ho visiting team by a substantial margin. • There were some good displays of batting, and the bowling also was above the ayerage. Te Araroa opened the' batting, and in their : first innings P. Rerewjni and R. Sexton botJi showed good form ;"owing to "the alert fielding of the Tuparoa team, however, ihree of the Te AraVoa. batsmen were run out. Tuparoa made good headway with the scoring in their innings, L. Whangapirita compiling 43, and H. M. Akers 30. To Araroa s bowling was of a high standard, however, and Sexton took five wickets for 39 runs. In their second strike Te Araroa. were all out for 58, duo to the bowling oi Whangapirita, who took seven wickets for 25 run's. Time did not allow of Tuparoa batting a second time.
