LANCASHIRE SAVING MORE
LONDON. Sept. 22. Although far fewer mills have been working, the savings during tho past year of the Lancashire cotton operatives, paid into the factory clubs, shows ail increase over those of the previous vear. The sum saved—£l,3oo,ooo—represents a contribution of 'well over £1 per head of the population of tho 20 towns, n remarkable proof of the thriftiness of tho Lancashire cotton operatives.
