For tho next 12 months, George Christopher Harris, 31, a laborer, must- refrain from drink and from attendance at any meetings. . These wore conditions imposed by Mr. E. D. Alosley, S.M., when admitting, .Harris to probation for having made use; of indecent language at a* meeting of unemployed in Victoria Square on October 16. “Now that you are in your sober .senses,” said tho magistrate, “I am quite sure you regret the language you used. I have told you before that you allow your tongue to run away with your discretion.” At tile original hearing it was alleged that the accused in using the language referred disparagingly to the British flag.
