FALL PROVES FATAL

HEAD INJURIES RECEIVED An inquest was held in Opoliki by the coroner. Air. F. J. Short, concerning the death of a t:hrcc-year-old boy, John Francis Boynton, of . Waimana, in the Opotiki Hospital on Saturday. The evidence given by the father and mother showed that the little boy was playing with his brother in a bedroom on Friday, when he fell from the bed, striking his head on the floor. Later in the evening lie became ill and was taken to the hospital, where an operation was performed, without success.

The verdict was one of accidental death, caused by a fracture of the skull.
