DECLINE IN AUSTRALIA FURTHER WAGE REDUCTIONS (Received July 23. 11 a.m.) MELBOURNE, July 23. Tho Commonwealth Statistician’s figures show that tho cost of living declined by .up to 3s a week in the quarter ended June 30. The basic wage will be reduced accordingly. The drops will bo Is 6d a week in Sydney, 3s in Melbourne, 6d in Brisbane. 2s 6d in Adelaide; is in Perth, and 2s in Hobart, less the 10 per cent, wage cut made by tho Arbitration Court in some industries.
