HIPPO ON A GOLF COURSE
NAIROBI, June 5. , Mr. It: T. Wickham, an agricultural officer of the Uganda Protectorate stationed at- Jinja, was walking across the Jinja golf course last evening ivitli bis dog Avhen he was attacked by a hippopotamus and badly injured. The hippopotamus first, killed the dog and then turned on Mr. Wickham. The Finia. golf club has a special by-law providing that there be no penalty for the removal of a ball from hippopotami footprints.
