Cabinet Ministers generally expressed the view that the guarantees sought by Mv. Scullin 1 should be given. ''• '" The Telegraph says significant st&te T ments indicative of the stringent conditions to which at least four of 'the States will require Mr. Lang to submit' before his request for cash assistance will be considered, were made yesterday. In Adelaide, the Cabinet decided to stand solidly behind Mr, Scullin in his attitude towards Mr. Lang. The Victorian Premier said in the Assembly,' amid cheers, that unless the Mew South "\Vales Government accepts its share of the ';«* sponsibilities, its request for Loan Connscil assistance cannot be entertained; The governments of Queensland and ,; West Australia joined in opposition to grants ing further l assistance to Mr. Lang.
