Rain again interfered with county cricket matches. Lancashire in the first innings made 153 for nine, versus Surrey, the game being drawn. Sussex in the first scored 155, Snary taking four for 33. In the second they put on. 265 for eight and declared, Ouleepsinhji making 91. Leicester in the first were dismissed for 66, Tate taking five, for 24. In the second innings they made 270, Bowley taking five lor 42. Sussex won by 184 runs. Somerset in the first made 119, Kennedy taking five fur 57, and in the second 192. Hampshire's first produced 191, White taking five for 69. In the second they made 121 for six wickets and won by four wickets. Worcester iu the first scored ICO, Evan taking seven for 52. In the second they were dismissed for 86, Clay lakirigi five for 31. Glamorgan in the first made 140, and in the second put on 48 for three wickets, and won by seven wickets. Warwick's first yielded 326, Oroom making 105 and Wyatt 85 not out. Northants in the first made 174, Bakewell contributing 88, and followed on to be dismissed for 82, Paine taking eight for 44. Warwick won by an innings and 70 runs. Notts in the. first made 201, Walker scoring 82. Bowes took seven for 80. In the second they were all out for 95, Robinson taking seven for 27. Yorkshire in the, first made 204 for six and declared, Holmes making 133. In the second they-made 93 for one wicket and won by nine wickets. j
Kent's first produced 263, Durston taking six for 66. Middlesex in the first made 110, Freeman taking five for 55, and followed on to make only 83, Freeman taking six for 47. Kent won by an innings and 70 rims.
Gloucester in the first scored 217, Dacre making 93. Mitchell took six for 79.' In the second they made 191, Hammond scoring 81. Derby in the first made 210, Jackson contributing 81. Goddard took eight for 79. In the. second they made 180, Parker taking six for 64. Gloucester won bv 18 runs.
