TO MARRY ARMY OFFICER ? REPORTED REBUFF TO CAROL VIENNA, Fob. 12. Queen Helene of Rumania, adamant in her refusal to become reconciled with King Carol, her divorced husband, is now reported to be planning to marry Colonel Skoletti, a. Rumanian Army officer. . This report is being widely circulated in Bucharest society circles. Queen Helene is reported to have written to King Carol stating that she is determined to reject any attempt by him to nullify their divorce by court proceedings. Meanwhile, an official statement has been issued in Bucharest denying that Mine. Magda Lupesdii, Ihe beautiful Rumanion Jewess who was King Carol’s companion" during his exile in Franco, is now in Rumania. Reports from Bucharest earlier, this week credited the dowager Queen Marie of Rumania, mother of King Carol, with the intention of making one last determined effort to effect a reconciliation between her son and his former wife.
Queen Marie, according to these reports, was making this effort on behalf of King Carol, who wishes Queen Helene to bo at his side when he is crowned King of Rumania on May 10.
