CRUSHED BY A TRACTOR SYDNEY, April 1. A terrible death befell Alfred George Phipps at Iris Estate, Wentworth Falls, to-day, when his head was drawn into the wheel of a tractor and crushed to pulp. Phipps nuts in a tractor, which, was knocked over bv another and somersaulted throe times, landing finally with its wheels in the air. The wheels, however, kept revolving, and Phipps had h.is arm caught by the belt of one of them, and before his workmates could prevent it his wdiolo body followed, and his head and shoulders were drawn under the spikes of the wheel.
