SIR THOMAS BIRKIN (Received April 9, 12 noon.) LONDON, April 8. The death has occurred of the millionaire baronet, Sir Thomas Birkin, father of ( ajitain 11. Bii'kin, who succeeds to the title. The late Sir Thomas Birkin, who was born in 1857, was the second baronet, succeeding bis father in 1922. His son, Captain Henry Birkin, is 34 yours of age. DR. ALAN HOPKINS (Por Pr«s.i Association.) HOKITIKA, this day. The death occurred this morning, after a brief illness, of Dr. Alan Hopkins, surgeon-superintendent at Westlnnd Hospital, lie leaves a widow arid one child.
