TRAGIC CHANGE ABROAD The Bishop of Uippslaiu!, Dr. ('railswiek, who recently addressed a meeting at a country centre in Victoria, said that there had boon a tragic change of opinion of Australia ju oilier parts ol the world. When going to England to attend flit Lambeth'Conference clergymen were humiliated by natives at Colombo and Egypt, who, wlien offered Australian silver, said, “No good! no change.” in fact, no country would change it. Bishop Ci'answick said that, his cup of shame was nearly full when he reached England and poor people went to him and said, “Our little savings are in your bonds. Will Australia let, us down?” He told them, “No,” but since hearing public men talk of repudiation ami inflation after his return to Australia lie did not know wluit to think.
