THE WRECKED MALABAR OPENING OF INQUIRY SYDNEY, April 7. ‘ The twisted splintered mass of wreckage that was once the splendid motorship Malabar was to-day sold by auction hv tho underwriters for £l4o’. The cargo was bought for £4O. Tho vessel originally cost nearly £250,000. .. . A Marine Court of Inquiry has opened concerning the loss of the Malabar. The proceedings are' private. Captain Leslie s evidence was taken and the proceedings were adjourned.
