fl rowing interest is being taken by lho public of Auckland in the Maori art of plaiting and mat weaving, exhibitions of which have been arranged by the Akaraua Maori Association from time to time, says the Star. The interest has extended to the children, and the association is now prepared to have displays of the art given by native women at the Auckland secondary schools.
