STRAIGHT COURSE’S WIN DAINTY WAYS’ GOOD RTTN (Por Press Association.) MASTERTON, last night. The Wairarapa races were concluded to-day at Tauherenikau in dull weather. There was a fair attendance and the track was good. The fotalisator put through £11.200 10s, against'£27,2l7 on Easter Monday last year. The investments for the meeting totalled £27,281, against £50,284 last year. Portray led the field from the start of the Stewards Handicap,but before entering the straight, Tenterden took charge and' although Rerernoana made a good run from the rear, he had no chance with the winner, who won by four lengths, with half a length between second and third. In the Moron Hack Handicap. White Doe and Rotation were prominent early in a hunched field. Entering the straight, Rotation was howling along, followed by Ephialtes, False Scent and Luerelia. Rotation won all out bv a clear length with Luerelia a, neck in front of Ephialtes. From an even start, Straight- Course took (lie lead in the Autumn Handicap, attended 'bv Lineage, Atholspoar and Count Palatine, with the others handy. Straight Course gradually went away to win by three lengths. White Fang getting up in time to beat Stanchion hy a length. Atholspear was fourth. Entering the straight in the Juvenilo Handicap, Distortion headed Acis, hut Richborough came with a line run on the outer, ridden out. Distortion looked the winner, but Richborough hung on gamely, and t.hev crossed the lino together. Child's Study was two lengths hark third. In the Pihiautea Hack Handicap, False Scent began best, followed by the favorite and Baskier. Entering the straight, Kezan gained the lead, and was not troubled, to win by a length with Valueless a neck in fronl of False Scent. Additional results were:

Tobaccoland had no chance with Dainty W ays, who came with a wet sail in tho straight to win easily by two lengths, a similar distance separating second and third horses. Time. 1.26 3-5.
Rptolawai Hack Handicap. l Cessation (Gray), 1: 6 Zephynis (McDowell) 2; So It pot (Yoitre), 3. Also started: 8 Apnlffd.org, 3 Courllilcfc, 4 Jayson, b The Sun, 11 Grey Mist, 7 Bat’s Boy, 10 .Master of Art, 9 Peep. Zephynis was first away, and was still in front at the bend, but Cessation -came with a nice run from the middle of the field and won by a length, with Saltpot a length away third. Time, 1.40.
