KING ZOG AND BARONESS
ROMANTIC INTEREST PAPER REBUKED TOR STORY VI FINN A, February 25. The Austrian Government issued to-day an official communique strongly condemning the ft t undo's revelations concerning King Zog's romantic interest in Baroness Marie de Janko. The communique characterises the newspaper's statements as “insulting to the State institutions, of a neighboring country." The Allgemeitie Zeitung defends the 81 unde, declaring that it is unable to sec t hat. the lady in question cun be regarded as a “State institution." The Stunde also defends the position. arguing that when an endangered Monarch deliberately incurs additional risks for his own private purposes in ft foreign capital, private affairs then become public affairs. The Welthlatt learns from Tirana that the Albanian Government is in the possession of information that the tribes hostile to King Zog are showing great activity. It is feared that action against his regime is in preparation. The threads of conspiracy, it is stated, run to Belgrade, from which city King Zog himself set out will) Jugoslav assistance in 192(5 to conquer Albania from Mgr, Fan Noli. Subsequently Ring Zog abandoned Jugoslav support in favor of Italian. The malcontents, it Is declared, are again receiving Jugoslav supper!. According to the Welthlatt, the Albanian Government has urged King Zog to return to Tirana immediately. llis entourage state, however, that, he has no intention of quilting Vienna before the middle of March.
