EASTER WEDDINGS

SMITH—SKELTON Seldom lias Holy Trinity Church been more beautifully decorated than for tlie wedding celebrated on Easter Monday night, a wealth of (lowers, autumn leaves and scarlet berries being arranged with great artistry. Around the pulpit Virginia creeper and berries were entwined, bowls of dahlias and autumn foliage stood about tho chancel rail, while overhead a silver and while beribhoned bridal bell was in keeping with the posies of feathery white Michaelmas daisies and fern at the pew ends, and the altar had grouped vases of white dahlias and fern. The, bride was Miss Beatrice Lilian Skelton, daughter of Mrs. E. O'Reilly, of Gisborne, and the bridegroom Mr. Charles Frederick Marshall Smith, a son of Mr. and .Mrs. 11. Percy Marshall Smith, Alt. Maunganui, Tauranga, (.'anon 11. Packc officiated, and Mr. Wilfrid Ivoh'il presided at the organ. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr. Bertram Skelton, and presented a. picturesque figure in her classically cut gown of ivory satin and rich Clulutilly lace made with an overskirt of the lacfl revealing a longplain panel of satin in front. Her lovely veil with scalloped border was worn fitting to her head with several strands of orange, blossom confining it at the back of the neck and her hosiery and shoes were in ivory tones, while'she carried a most: exquisite bouquet of white cyclamen, button dahlias, roses and maidenhair fern tied with true lovers' knots in satin. Three bridesmaids, Misses Joyce Richardson, Greta Dow and Ethna Watson, wore peach, moonlit blue and aqua green georgette respectively over toning satin made with slim Jlttiiig corsages and three ascending frills on the skirts and theirhats were of silver lace turned back from the face with silver bandeaux and having long brims at the back. Sal in shoes to tone With their gowns were worn and their bouquet provided a pretty contrast to their gowns, being of mauve, blue and pink flowers intermingled with trails of fern and streamers of matching ribbon.

A little train-bearer, Gilda Grey, wore, a lovely frock of buttercup satin veiled with frills of tulle front its quaint bcrtho cape to the tips of her gold shoes; the costume was completed by a Juliet cap of gold mesh and a Victorian posy of gold flowers in a gold lace holder. Mr. S. Barnard was the best man, and Fright-Lieut. F. Truman and Mr. A. Turn bull the groomsmen.

Tlie reception and dance were held in the Abereorn Hall, where the bride's mother received the guests wearing an ensemble of black crepe Jc chine with touches of fawn georgette and a smart black hat and'earrying a bouquet of autumn tinted flowers and foliage. Mrs. H. Percy Smith wore an enchanting gown of black Chantilly lace and georgette glittering with embroideries of jet, and worn with a ("haul illy lace scari'e and lier black volour hat was clasped with diamante; she carried a bouquet of French marigolds and fern.

Mis. As Thomas, grandmother of the bride-, wore navy blue, and her matching felt hat had touches of white. Mrs. S. L. Clapham, sister of the bride, was in aqua green lace and georgette with motifs of pastel tinted flowers, and Mrs. H.
