WAIROA HOSPITAL MATRON

Miss Elinor Harvey, at present on the staff of the Public Hospital. Palmerston North, has been appointed natron of the Public Hospital, Wairoa, md leaves to take up her duties early this month. Sister Harvey received her medical, surgical, and midwifery certificates at Masterton Hospital; later, she was appointed theatre sister it that institution. Subsequently she went to Dunedin, and took her Pliinket training and was later a sister on the staff of Cook Hospital, Oisborne. At the last board meeting of Palmerston North Hospital, Sister Harvey's resignation was accepted with regret. The medical superintendent, Dr. Ward, spoke of sister Harvey's work with praise, and while her transfer to Wairoa meant promotion; he said the Palmerston North Hospital staff was sorry to lose her. Sister Harvey will spend a holiday with her parents at "Daisy Bank," Martinborough, prior to commencing at Wairoa.
