Auckland, Wairnrapa, Manawalu, Southland, and South Canterbury breeders were represented, besides all the best known North Canterbury breeders. Except for Kouthdowns and English Leiccsters, it was a dull sale, with passings frequent. Many sheep were bought to go to the North Island. The range of prices was: Corriodalc, 7gns. to 62J,gns; Sonthdowif, sgns to 42gns. ; English Leicester, 7J,gns. to 43gns. ; Lincoln, 7gns. to 22gms.; Border Leicester, Sgns. to 29gns.; Shropshire, Bgns. to lOgns.; I’omney Marsh, 6/,gns. lo 21gns.
