MOVE FOR NEW HALL

AN ORGANISED EFFORT WINTER SHOW DECISION An organised effort is to be made for the reinstatement of the Garrison Hall, destroyed by fire last month. The committee of the Poverty Bay Winter Show Association last night carried the following motion: "That the borough council, chamber of commerce and other interested parties he advised that the Winter Show Association is desirous of supporting them in any endeavor for the re-erection of the Garrison Hall; and that this meeting appoint representatives to approach the above-mentioned bodies with a view f o appointing a .joint committee to hold 71 public meeting convened by the Mayor at such date as may be desired by that committee.”

The president, Mr. G. W. Armstrong, and the secretary, Mr. W. M. Hayly, were appointed the association’s representatives hi the :na:’er.
