l’akura, s.s. (5.35 a.in.), 700 tons, Ooldicutt, from Wellington. Margaret W, in.s.' (5.40 a.in.), 394 tons, Clark, from Auckland. l’ukeko, m.s. (8.35 a.m.), 91?, tons, Jones, from Auckland.

The Wainui, with southern and Auckland cargo, now at Napier, is due at Gisborne on Saturday morning to discharge. On completion here the vessel proceeds to Tolaga Bay, thence Lvttelton and Dunedin.

The Knliika is to lon' l for Napier and Gisborne, leaving Dunedin on Monday for Oamaru, Timani, Lyttelton and Wellington. She is due here about March .1.0 or 11.

The Poolta, from Grafton and Port Stephens, left Newcastle on Tuesday with coal and timber for Auckland, Gisborne and Wellington The vessel also loads at Auckland on Tuesday next, taking all available general cargo for Gisborne Owing to the small tonnage the Poolta will lie able to berth at the Gisborne wharf.

The Paknra, which arrived from Wellington (his morning, is expected to leave this evening for Napier and Wellington. Weather for the most part fair to fine and rather milder, but some scattered showers iu the western and southern portions cf the South Island. (To-day’s North Island Report.) Unsettled weather was reported at Auckland and Wellington this morning, hut blue skies prevailed elsewhere in tiie North Island. Light variable breezes were general. The barometer had continued the rising movement. Temperatures nt. 9 o’clock were: Auckland 64 degrees, Tauniriga, East Cape, and Gisborne 65, Opnliki 58, and Wellington 59. Moderate or smooth seas were reported everywhere. (Midday Forecast) The indications arc for variable and moderate breezes, and later moderate, northerly winds. There is aprospect of tair weather. Barometer little movement. Spas and tides moderate.
