The attention of Mr. P. 11. Harper, .S.M., was occupied this afternoon with the bearing of a case in which a youth (whose name was suppressed) was charged With the theft on November 20 last of a motor cycle, valued at JJ2O. the property of Norman' Tate. Detective McLeocl prosecuted and Mr. H. B. Hill appeared for accused. Norman Tate deposed that be had stored the cycle at a garage in Oisboiiie and when he went to get, it the machine was missing. He did not give, accused permission to take the cycle. In the course of crossexamination witness stated he had left Hie cycle at the garage for sale. lie had no recollection of accused having endeavored to procure the cycle to sell it.
