SPORTS AT ORMOND
CONCLUDING RESULTS Under an overcast sky, tvitli a threat id' rain, the Ormond District Sports Club’s annual meeting was coneludod at the Ormond Domain last evening, and a very successful'day was brought to a close by a fiance held in the evening at which tin' trophies were ['resented. From the start to the finish the meeting was run without a hitch, and at no time was the programme of events delayed, mol to the secretary, Mr. D. 0. Beattie, the secretary of the horse events, Mr. 0. F. Parkinson, and the officials of the Gisborne Amateur Athletic and Harrier Club, who controlled the athletic .section, credit is due for the success of the meeting. Mr. W.- C. fPilmer, as jt/clge of the horse events, gave complete satisfaction with Lis decisions. Following are the concluding results:— ATHLETIC EVENTS Five-mile cycle handicap (6 starters'): T.
