WELLINGTON'S HEAVY DROP (Pur Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Customs returns for the month of December totalled £72.599, a decrease of £11,709 as compared with December of 1929. Beer duty was £9037, a decrease of £755; motor spirit tax, £20.421, an increase of £7849; tyre duty. £1446, an increase Of £IOB. For the December quarter the figures were: Customs, £237,427, compared with £298.614; beer duty. £22,342 (£20,550); motor spirit, £59,752 (£38,568); tyre duty, £3788 (£4800).
