A report h;k 'broadcast throughout Prance, followed by "The Morseillai.se." alter which programmes abandoned as a tribute to ihe Marshal, whereupon Hags on public buildings were flown at half mast, and many tokens of mourning appealed, The report was nor corrected for an hour. Colonel Desmazes is officially inquiring as to how tin' rumor began.
