CHANGE IN HEADDRESS (Prr Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Helmets worn by the police prior to the' introduction of the ghuko are to be worn permanently by members of tho force. For sortie days it has been apparent that the change was pending, for constables on duty in Wellington have all worn helmets. Within a day or ko, the Commissioner of Police, Air, W. G. Wohlnmnn, hopes to issue instructions in connection with the change in headdress which will be a more or less gradual process. Helmets will first displace the shakos in the cities and by .degrees the change will be extended into the country districts.
