POST OFFICE BUSINESS
THE CHRISTMAS RUSH TELEGRAMS, TOLLS AND MAILS Business at the Gisborne Fost Office proceeded at a high pressure this Christmas, the three days preceding the holidays being exceptionally busy ones for tbo. staffs of the various departments. The pressure reached its peak on Christmas Eve, when over 7CCO telegrams were handled, while for the five days prior to the holidays the total exceeded 13,0C0. During the Christmas rush, altogether 628 hags of mail were dispatched, and 609 received, while 217 hampers were sent out from tho.
