A COMMUNITY OF CHICAGO NEAV YORK, Nov. 12. Between the slime of Lake Michigan and one of Gliicago’s richest residential districts some of the city S thousands of unemployed are building themselves a new town constructed entirely out "I the waste materials and refuse discarded by the rest of Chicago. They have called it. Ironically, "Ilnovervllle. Its "shacks” and "shanties" am built from derelict timbers, old bricks, and sheets of corrugated iron taken Irom collapsed houses on vacant lots. The alleys- that run between them are named Bros peril y mail, Gas> street, /nut Hard Times- avenue. At tlm corner of Prosperity mad and Easy street is a ramshackle residence where liVes "the Mayor of Iloovcrville a disabled miner named Mike Donovan, who Was chosen by common consent. Members of the colony live under Wba/ they desriribe as a Communistic forrh of government.
