AUSTRALIAN FINANCES APPEAL FOR STATE LOAN (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received Dee. 11, noon.) SYDNEY, Dee. 11. "Strained to the utmost limit of their resources, storekeepers, who arc carrying the whole deadweight of the system of distribution on their shoulders, have, in desperation, fixed November 31, 1931, as the date beyond which it will be impossible tj carry on."
The foregoing, sentence is contained in an appeal to the Premier from the Country Traders' Association of New South Wales, comprising 1200 country storekeepers. They urge the Government to approach the Loan Council for the nocessarv authoritv to lioat a rural emergency loan of £2,000,000. This is considered to be the only practical means of meeting the present situation.
