IMPERIAL CONFERENCE GENERAL SMUTS' CRITICISM (Received December 11. 11 a.m.) CAPETOWN, Dec. 10.
General Smuts, speaking at a South African Party national congress at Bloernfonteiu, ' said what might have been the most brilliant and successful of all Imperial Conferences had ended in disillusionment and disappointment for every part of the Britisli commonwealth. He warned the Government not to tamper again with British preference.
