A SUDDEN SQUALL
SCHOONER DAMAGED (Per Pri!ss AflsociiUion.) WELLINGTON, this day. A sudden northerly squall which swept down from Happy Valley about 4 o'clock "yesterday afternoon struck the auxiliary schooner Talisman, inward bound from Takaka, and brought down the little vessel's rigging, a kauri spW 44ft. _ long snapping like matchwood and leaving a mass of'""debris about the decks. Tho remains of the rigging were lashed to the sides and tho Talisman into port under power of her auxiliary engines.
