U.S. SPORTING CROESUS NEW YORK, Nov. 8. I-Inrry Payne Whitney, the Croesus of American sportsmen, took 3000 words in which to dispose of his estate of £30,000,000. He left nothing to charity, but everything except £53,000 to his widow, three children, two sons-in-law, and six grandchildren. Thomas Regan, his secretary, receives £40,000, and personal friends the remainder in small bequests.
