CRICKET MANAGEMENT
POVERTY BAY COMMITTEE The weekly meeting of the. management/ committee of the P.B. Cricket Association was held last evening, the chairman, Mr. H. E. Maude, presiding. There were present also: Bro. Bernadine, and Messrs. G J. AlacGregor, W. J. Conan, A. C. Woodfield. J. C. Dow,' \V. Mason, A. Bignall, and J. W. Blathwayt, acting secretary. The following applications for the registration of colors were approved: Kniti juniors, cream and old gold; Marists, green and white. A request was received from the Wairoa sub-association for a representative game early in the New Year. It was decided to reply pointing out that in case Poverty Bay may be playing a Hawke Clip match, no definite dates could be allotted at present for a. match against Wairoa, blit that dates for such a fixture would be submitted as soon as the position could be cleared u l’In connection with flic elimination I'ialch in the Ihiwke Gup competition to lie played at AVaipiro Bay to-morrow and on Thursday, if’ was reported find, (lie transport, arrangements were in the hands of I lie malinger, Mr. 11. I'. Forster, and all players selected were asked to communicate with .Mr. Forster immediately. Bm. Bcrnadine mentioned that the new wicket •at the reserve was proving very satisfactory. It was resolved that ground fees, at the usual rate of 6(1, should be levied on junior players using the reserve, the matter to be arranged with the other interested bodies. Mr. Blathwayt was appointed to fill the vacancy ori the postponement omnmillcc caused by the resignation of Mr. S. Edwards. The draw for the week resulted: Thursday.— -Seniors : 5.M C. A.. (A) v.
