HOCKEY GIRLS’ THRILL AUSTRALIANS IN LONDON (Received Nov. 25. noon.) LONDON, Nov. 24. “Who are they?’’ the King asked the Queen when driving through the gateway of Buckingham Palace to-day on returning from Sandringham, when they saw 18 strapping girls lined up and curtseying. The King learnt from a Lord-in-Wnit-ing that the girls, were members of the Australian hockey team, and asked for them to be presented. 1 The girls were most excited at the most unexpected honor, and filed into the drawingroom, where Mrs. Davy, manageress ol the team, was first presented to 1 heir Majesties. She then presented Miss Wick, the captain, and all 17 members, with whom Their Majesties shook hands and chatted. si “It was a most marvellous adventure, said Mrs. Davy afterwards. “Their Majesties asked whether we enjoyed the tour. I replied that the whole tour was most delightful, and t we had not had a worrying moment.
