The Cricket Board of Control has decided to grant a bonus of £lO to each professional taking part in each test during 1930. It is announced that the receipts for the test at, Nottingham amounted to £12,352, at Lord’s ‘ £23.518, at Leeds £2600, at Manchester £13.821, and at tlie. Oval, £18,977. The advisory county cricket committee asked tlie Marylebone club to endeavor to obtain an opinion from the Australian board regarding the larger wicket and duration of rolling in time to enable tlie laws to he altered bv May, 1931. Failing a decision being readied in readiness for next season, experiments should be continued among the first and second class counties and also the universities and clubs as far as possible. Ihe committee recommended a new method of scoring in county championship, including 15 points for outright winners, if the game is unfinished the leaders on the first innings will score five and their opponents three, if there is no result on the first innings or there is no play, each side scores four points.
