HOW HE KEEPS THE CHOIR BOYS

LONDON, Nov. 3. “What nice choir-boys you have! So well behaved ! And especially during the sermons!” . The Rev. R. R. Martin, vicar of St. Michael’s, Oxford, has so often had these compliments paid his boys that he felt in honor-bound to “give the show away.” What he does is to supply them with thrilling tales of adventure, 'llihse they read during the sermon. The ,sermon ends all too quickly. The enthralled youngsters have to close their books in the middle of an exciting chapter. The books, it appears, include “The Pilgrim’s Progress” and adventurous missionary stories.
