Overcoming Wool Shrinkage

THE process to overcome shrinkage in 1 wool, referred to by Air. Bernard Tripp on his return from England recently, was the discovery of Air. John Nelson, a textilist at Wanganui woollen mills. Air. Nelson made the discovery a year ago after two years’ research work. . Samples of the material had been sent to the Research Association at Leeds on two occasions, and confirmation of the merits of the process had been received from Dr. Barker, Director of Research. Professor Thomas Oliver, B.Sc., principal of the Technical College of Galashiels, also gave prominence to the process in the “Scottish Tweed."
