Velveteen Vogue
i/NDAT frocks in Afoisctte brown ahd ; black’ velveteen are among the new autumn modes showing in Paris. These models are the very essence of simplicity, belted round the waistline, and without apy other trimming except a clever scarf collar of tho same material in the former, and a touch of red indicating a silken scarf line attached to a black velveteen dress completing the latter as'an ensemble.
A brown velveteen jacket with skilfully iricrusted brown astrakhan collar and cuffs is another appealing item worn with a beige lainagc dress, which is also used in another instance to feature a one-sided scarf collar of brown astrakhan. This dress emphasises the kimono sleeve trend that is an important, feature of the new mode. The raglan type likewise conforms in velveteen inserted into a ruby red drap coat with one of the sleeves extending into a yoke that ends in a scarf length.
