POLICE STONED
INDIAN DISTURBANCES MORE BOMBINGS THREATENED DELHI. Nov. <i. There were disturbances at Karachi when the police were arresting men picketing liquor shops. The police were stoned by a crowd of 3000. They then charged with batons and many rioters were' injured. “Gandhi Day” was celebrated throughout the city. Shops were closed and schools picketed. A boy attempting to hoist the Nationalist tlag above the Legislative Council chambers was arrested and the flag confiscated.
The police surrounded a house a mile outside Lahore and three men ran out firing revolvers. The police retaliated,' killing one and injuring another. The one killed has been identified;as a student suspected of lining concerned in an attempt to wreck the Viceroy’s train last year.
The Police Commissioner at Karachi and two sub-inspectors have been warned to leave the city within a week, otherwise they will be killed bv bombs.

The police lound in .Tain’s ])ossession a copy of a pledge enjoining members of the eonspiracy to shoot none but policemen. . Jain also possessed a list of the police all over India.
