COVER ADVANCE ON WHEAT AUSTRALIAN SUGGESTION PERTH. Oct: 28. Tho Premier, Sir James Mitchell, said that it would be reasonable for the Commonwealth Government, to issue hole’s to cover an advance on wheat, tho notes to be. destroyed when the wliOgt was sold abroad. lor the Western Australia crop this would require 'about £2,000.000. The State Government could not find that amount, although it would have been able if it had not become a party to the financial agreement. Payment for wheat, lie said, would probably be spread over too long a period to lie of much immediate benefit, because farmers would hesitate to sell while they felt even the smallest hope of better prices. This could be avoided if tlie Commonwealth would add Is u bushel to the Is 6d that those who received wheat would probably advance. It would nieitn that about £5,000,00 would bo circulated in the State _at once, and much of the present difficulty would be overcome,
