DEFENCE OFFICE BURNED
PALMERSTON NORTH BLAZE (Per Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., last night. A tiro late to-night- destroyed a twostoreyed building in which the Central Command Defence Forces had l>ecti housed since 1915. The building was originally a dwelling, and was erected many years ago. The flames spread rapidly amongst the dry timbers, the building being practically a total loss. It- is understood that the records were saved.
